Undergraduate Admission Procedures and Applying Online
Please read the following instructions carefully before applying online.

( Students must contact the Admissions office at 014948888 - Male Colleges)

1.      The student has to sit the aptitude exam (Qeyas) conducted by the National Center for Assessment in Higher Education. (This exam is required for graduates of regular (Arabic-Speaking) Saudi high schools). For more information about this exam, please visit www.qeyas.org. Graduates of International (Non-Arabic Speaking) Schools are recommended to take either the "English" version of the "Qeyas" test or SAT I exam, in order for them to be eligible to apply for a PSU scholarship.

2.      The student needs to fill the application-for-admission form (ONLINE or at the Information Desk of the Deanship of Admissions and Registration).

3.      The student has to pay the application fee (SR 500), either:

-       cash at the Student’s Accounting Office in campus,

-       or deposit the fee at the PSU Bank Account # 017-059999-001 SABB Bank, Hai Al-Worood Branch (for the Men's Colleges ), or Account # 2120844469940 Riyadh Bank, Al-Takhassussi Branch (for the Women's College) and submit the receipt to the Student Accounting Office. (The application fee is non-refundable). The fee can be paid before the Entrance Exam day.

4.      The student has to attend the Entrance Exam in the date and time specified by the Deanship of Admission and Registration. Students who earn excellent scores in the exam will be eligible to take the Preparatory Year Program (PYP) promotion exams. Students who pass the PYP promotion exams with high scores may be exempted from part or all of the PYP.


Required Documents

Students applying to join Prince Sultan Private University should submit the following documents :

1.      The student must keep sufficient copies of all document submitted to university, before submitting them.

2.      One copy of the original general secondary school certificate.

3.      One copy of the Qeyas (or SAT I) score.

4.      One copy of the National identification document.

5.      A good conduct certificate issued by the school from which the applicant has graduated.

6.      Four (4) recent 4x6 cm photographs.

7.      An official document from the workplace granting permission for the applicant to study at PSU. (Only in cases where the applicant is in employment).

Admission Criteria & Requirements

A student applying to study for a B.Sc. degree in any of the majors offered by Prince Sultan University should satisfy the following conditions:

1.      Has a general Saudi secondary school (high school) certificate (natural sciences, or social and administrative sciences) or equivalent. Those students who have their high school diplomas from administration major can join the Finance, Marketing and Accounting department only. High school diplomas earned outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be approved by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh.

2.      Pass the University Entrance Exam.

3.      Be a full-time student; part-time enrolment is not permitted.

4.      Has a record of good conduct.

5.      If an applicant is public or private sector employee, he should obtain written approval to study from his workplace.

6.      Satisfy other conditions stipulated by the board of PSU and announced at the time of application.

7.      To pass the medical check-up.

8.      The student should have earned his high school diploma within the past five years.
The academic aptitude of applicants is based on their secondary school average, Qeys (or SAT I) scores, and the results of the Entrance Exam.

Transfer Criteria

Students can be admitted at PSU as Transfer Students based on the following criteria:

1.      Student must be currently enrolled at a university that is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Riyadh.

2.      Student’s cumulative GPA must be not less than 2.00 out of 4.0, only courses with (C) grade or better can be transferred.

The Academic Transfer committee will decide the courses that can be transferred based on the concerned department’s evaluation of the course contents. The decision must be approved by the college council.

Required Documents

1.      Official Saudi Arabian High School Diploma, or an equivalent high school diploma. (High school diplomas issued outside Saudi Arabia, must be accredited by the Ministry of Education in Riyadh).

2.      Official Transcript from the student’s current university.

3.      Official and detailed course- description of the courses taken by the student.

NOTE: Applications are for the Preparatory Year Program (PYP). Students can join a particular degree program after passing the PYP.

One main advantage of the PS3 is that it allows web access. By this, people are able to share files with their friends. It can also be used to browse the Internet (goes without saying).

It can also function as a Blue-ray player, giving it an edge of versatility. People are able to watch movies and access files in a Blue-ray disk. In fact, the PS3 is one of the more cost-effective Blue-ray players available in the market today.

The use of a Blue-ray disk has proven to be a great innovation for the PS3. A Blue-ray disk is able to store more space for content, and can also provide better graphic and audio quality, improving the quality of gaming for gamers.

You can also install a Linux OS on the PS3, which only further increases its versatility. How is that? By being able to operate Linux, the PS3 can run a variety of programs that the user can use, aside from the console's native functions as a gaming and multimedia device.

Compared to the Xbox 360's 512mb memory, the memory of the PS3 packs in 256MB XRD for the cell, and 256MB DDR3 for the GPU. This means that you can store more things in both the PS3's memory banks than you can in an Xbox 360.

Since the PS3 is similar to a computer, it is more user-friendly than the Xbox 360, and offers more support when it comes to USB functionality.

A low failure rate is also associated with the PS3, which makes up for the fact that it is expensive. The controllers are also rechargeable which requires only a USB-to-USB cable for it to be recharged.

However, it also comes with its own disadvantages. Games played in the PS3 are designed to emulate life, which can, just like any other game, slowly take over the life of the individual.

Playing games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band (games also available in other consoles, admittedly) includes the use of plastic accessories that make it seem as if one is playing a real musical instrument. It has slowly influenced people who like playing these games to think that they can easily play musical instruments. The game does use some element of the real thing (for example, the use of drum pads for playing drum tracks), but the wall that separates real musical instruments and game controllers - or games and real life, in general - more blurred (see Grand Theft Auto controversies).

Another apparent disadvantage of the Sony PS3 is its price tag. The console is unusually expensive, to the point that the price may be considered as something somewhat exorbitant, especially in this global recession. To compare: the Xbox 360 costs only $299, while the PS3 is being sold at $499 each. Sony also has some inconsistency with making a single model for it as well, although the reason behind this may lie in the fact that they are constantly researching ways in which they can lower the price.

In terms of game library, the PS3 is inferior to the Xbox 360 since it has less titles. It has also been said that the games of the Xbox360 have better graphics than the PS3, despite people saying otherwise.

There are also issues to be found with the console's connection with the Playstation Network. Despite the console's network-capable system, the PS3 has been having problems in getting in touch with the PS Network. Some of the problems that have been reported often lies in the fact that the system is somewhat slow. It has also been reportedly difficult to file a complaint within the system.

Voice messaging between individuals is also not available in the PS3, although rumors say that this will be included in the next version of the console.

Before you think of purchasing a PS3, it is imperative that you research about the machine. The Sony Playstation 3 may have some advantages, but its disadvantages can make a pretty solid case against a purchase of the console.

mengekstrak file, maka akan muncul prompt password. Hal ini bisa terjadi karena file tersebut memang benar-benar

rahasia dan penting. Namun sebelumnya kita akan belajar bagaimana memberikan password pada file yang dikompresi

dengan Winzip.

# Cara Memberikan Password di Winzip

Untuk Winzip yang akan digunakan adalah versi 10 atau sebelumnya. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah penggunaannya :

1. Buka Windows Explorer anda.

2. Siapkan file atau folder yang akan dicoba untuk dikompres dengan Winzip.

3. Klik kanan pada folder yang akan di-Zip, pilih menu Winzip > Add to Zip file.

4. Setelah dipilih akan tampil kotak dialog Add. Pada bagian Option beri tanda checklist pada Encrypt added files.

5. Jika sudah, klik tombol Add.

6. Kalau ada kotak dialog Winzip Caution, klik saja OK.

7. Selanjutnya akan tampil kotak dialog Encrypt. Masukkan password yang hendak dibuat pada field Enter Password

dan masukkan kembali pada field Re-enter password (for confirmation). Untuk Encryption method pilih Zip 2.0

compatible encryption (portable).

8. Jika sudah klik OK.

9. Proses kompresi file sudah dilakukan dan telah diberikan password.

10. Sekarang cobalah untuk mengekstraknya. Kalau ada permintaan password berarti anda telah berhasil memberikan

password pada file zip anda.

# Cara Menjebol Password di Winzip

Untuk mencoba untuk menjebol Password Winzip ini, tool yang akan digunakan adalah  Zip Password Finder 1.0Ukuran filenya cuma 483 kb (sebelum diekstrak). Jika anda belum memiliki, bisa juga didownload dari

Berikut langkah-langkah cara penggunaannya setelah terinstall toolnya :

1. Karena file ini aslinya di-Zip, maka anda harus mengekstraknya terlebih dahulu.

2. Jika sudah, jalankan program tersebut.

3. Selanjutnya kita akan menentukan file zip yang akan kita jebol password-nya. Klik icon Open

4. Pada kotak dialog Open pilih file Zip yang sudah diberi password. Kemudian klik Open.

5. Setelah filenya dipanggil, lakukan pengaturan sebagai berikut pada opsi Char Type Property : Alpha (lower) (a-z),

sedangkan untuk Max Password Length : 5.

6. Jika sudah, klik icon Start.

7. Untuk menampilkan proses pencarian password, anda bisa mengklik icon Display On.

8. Akhirnya setelah memakan waktu yang cukup lama, Password Zip-nya sudah bisa ditebak yang bisa dilihat pada

Menu Control > Starting Password.

9. Sekarang anda coba untuk mengekstrak filenya dan masukkan password yang sudah didapat tadi. Jika benar setelah

diisi, maka berarti anda berhasil untuk menjebolnya. :-)

2. PASSWORD WINRAR

Winrar fungsinya tidak lain atau sama halnya dengan fungsi Winzip yakni untuk mengkompres file, ekstensi filenya saja

yang sama. Winrar juga memiliki fasilitas yang hampir sama dengan Winzip, yaitu fasilitas password.

# Cara Memberikan Password di Winrar

Winrar yang akan digunakan adalah versi 3.71 atau sebelumnya, anda bisa mendownloadnya melalui situs :

http://www.rarlab.com./. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah untuk memberikan password pada Winrar.

1. Buka Windows Explorer anda.

2. Siapkan file atau folder yang akan dicoba untuk dikompres dengan Winrar.

3. Klik kanan pada folder yang akan di-Zip, pilih Add to Archive.

4. Setelah dipilih akan tampil kotak dialog Archive name and parameters, pilih tab Advanced, kemudian pilih lagi icon Set

Password.

5. Pada kotak dialog Archiving with password, masukkan password yang anda maksud dengan mengetikkan pada kota

Enter password yang tersedia, lanjutkan juga dengan mengetikkan password yang sama pada Reenter password for

verification. Dalam contoh ini tidak menggunakan password yang panjang, untuk mempersingkat waktu tentunya.

6. Kalau sudah, klik saja OK.

7. Klik lagi OK, selanjutnya akan terjadi proses kompresi.

8. Kalau anda mengekstraknya, otomatis akan muncul permintaan password terlebih dahulu.

# Cara Menjebol Password di Winrar

Tool yang bisa kita pergunakan untuk membongkar password di Winrar adalah RAR Password Recovery v1.1 RC17 o;,

ukuran filenya juga tidak terlalu besar. Anda bisa mendownloadnya DISINI!!!!, Agar beberapa fitur dalam software ini bisa digunakan maka anda

harus mencari crack dan keygen-nya terlebih dahulu di http://crack-/keygen.com untuk bisa leluasa menggunakan fiturfitur

yang ada tersebut.

Berikut langkah-langkah cara penggunaannya setelah terinstall toolnya :

1. Klik icon open pada kotak dialog RAR Password Recovery untuk memilih file rar yang sudah diberi password.

2. Pada kotak dialog Open, pilih file yang sudah anda kompres menggunakan Winrar (berbentuk icon buku bertumpuk).

3. Lalu klik Open.

4. Pada opsi Allowed Characters, pilih All printable symbols, opsi ini dipilih untuk menentukan segala kemungkinan

karakter yang diinputkan. Sedangkan untuk Type of attact, pilih Brute Force (mencoba segala kemungkinan).

5. Dilanjutkan dengan memilih Password Length, untuk Minimal Length pilih 3 character sedangkan untuk Maximal

Length, pilih 5 character.

6. Terakhir, di bagian Advanced Options pada opsi Start from, ketik abc. Untuk opsi lainnya untuk saat ini tidak anda atur.

7. Lanjutkan dengan mengklik tombol Start.

8. Beberapa saat kemudian, pada kotak dialog Password recovered, password yang dimaksud bisa ditemukan pada opsi

Password.

9. Sekarang anda coba untuk mengekstrak filenya dan masukkan password yang sudah didapat tadi. Jika benar setelah

diisi, maka berarti anda berhasil untuk menjebolnya. :-)

3. PASSWORD MICROSOFT WORD

Memberi password pada file dokumen Office sangat penting dilakukan agar file yang telah dibuat tidak dapat diketahui

isinya oleh orang-orang yang tidak berkepentingan. Berikut ini cara-cara memberi password pada Microsoft Office :

# Cara Memberikan Password di Microsoft Word

1. Siapkan file Microsoft Word yang akan anda berikan passwordnya.

2. Pilih menu Tools > Options.

3. Setelah tampil kotak dialog Option, lalu anda pilih tab Security. Pada tab Security di bagian Password to Open,

masukan password yang anda inginkan. Sedangkan untuk Password to modify kita kosongkan dulu untuk sementara.

4. Jika sudah, lalu klik OK.

5. Lalu akan tampil kotak dialog konfirmasi untuk Reenter password to open. Masukkan kembali password-nya telah

anda inputkan.

6. Jika sudah, lalu klik OK.

7. Kemudian Save dokumen tersebut, pilih Close untuk keluar dari program Microsoft Word.

8. Lalu coba buka dokumen Word yang baru saja telah diberi Password, apa yang terjadi?

9. Coba masukkan kode password yang telah anda beri pada kotak dialog Enter password to open file.

10. Kalau anda benar memasukan kodenya, berarti tidak ada masalah. Kalau tidak tahu kode passwordnya? Nggak bisa

buka datanya kan? Mau tau cara untuk menjebol passwordnya?

# Cara Menjebol Password di Microsoft Word

Untuk mencoba untuk menjebol file Microsoft Word, sebelumnya kita harus memiliki file yang bernama Word and Excel password recovery Wizard 2.1.12;. Dengan mengunjungi alamat situs berikut, silahkan download softwarenya :

Berikut langkah-langkah cara penggunaannya setelah didownload filenya :

1. Pada kotak dialog “Free Word and Excel password recovery wizard”, klik tombol Next atau klik tab

Select file. Lalu pada kotak dialog Select Word or Excel File di File of type, pilih Word files (*.doc), lalu pilih file yang

sudah anda beri password tadi.

2. Kemudian klik Open.

3. Setelah file Word ditentukan, selanjutnya anda klik tab Dictionary recovery. Pada bagian ini anda bisa menentukan dictionary (kamus) yang isinya merupakan kata-kata yang berhubungan dengan password yang akan ditebak. Biasanya

disimpan dalam bentuk file *.txt atau *.dic. Untuk kali ini kita lewati langkah ini dan lanjutkan dengan mengklik tab Brute

force recovery.

4. Pada Brute force recovery anda tentukan Character yang mungkin diinputkan dan tentukan juga panjang karakter

yang diinputkan pada opsi From (length). Lalu klik tombol Next.

5. Tunggu beberapa saat sampai proses pencarian selesai. Lama proses pencarian tergantung dari jenis karakter dan

panjang karakter yang diinputkan.

6. Tidak lama kemudian password anda ditemukan, ditandai dengan muncul kotak dialog “Excel File Password

Recovery” (kotak dialog ini memang namanya “Excel File Password Recovery” walaupun yang

dicarinya adalah file Word).

7. Jika sudah, klik OK.

8. Sekarang buka file dokumen Word yang diberi password tadi, lalu masukkan kode passwordyang telah ditemukan

barusan, lalu klik OK. Apa yang terjadi, sudah bisa dibuka kan, datanya? :-)

4. PASSWORD FILE PDF

Suatu saat anda mendownload file E-book format PDF, namun adakalanya file hasil download tersebut diproteksi oleh

password. Lalu bagaimana cara membongkarnya agar password tersebut bisa diketahui dan file PDF-nya bisa kita buka

secara normal? Lalu, bagaimana pula halnya bila kita ingin membuat proteksi password pada file PDF yang telah kita

buat? Disini kita akan mencoba membuat file PDF yang diproteksi oleh password. Adobe Acrobat Reader yang akan kita

gunakan adalah versi 5.0 atau dibawahnya.

# Cara Memberikan Password File PDF

1. Coba buka salah satu file PDF yang anda miliki, lalu setelah tampil pilih File > Document Security.

2. Pada opsi Security Options, pilih Standard Security dengan mengklik anak panah kecil.

3. Yang akan kita lakukan adalah hanya memproteksi untuk open dokumen, karena itu anda beri tanda checklist pada

Password Required to Open Document. Pada textbox User Password, masukan password yang ingin anda gunakan.

4. Lalu klik OK.

5. Masukan lagi konfirmasi password, klik OK.

6. Kemudian Close.

7. Simpan dokumen PDF anda, tekan Ctrl-S.

8. Kemudian keluar dari aplikasi dengan memilih menu File > Close. Sekarang coba buka file PDF yang barusan sudah

anda beri password tersebut, apa meminta konfirmasi untuk mengisi kode passwordnya? Jika passwordnya, benar

berarti tidak ada masalah. Kalau misalnya password yang anda beri tersebut lupa atau tidak tahu bagaimana.

# Cara Menjebol Password File PDF

Berikut ini cara paling mudah untuk membongkar password pada file PDF. Untuk mencoba untuk menjebol file PDF, kita

akan coba gunakan tool keluaran Elcomsoft, yakni Advanced PDF Password Recovery. Tool ini tidak

terlalu besar filenya, dan bisa anda download melalui situs : DISINI!!!!

Berikut langkah-langkah cara penggunaan tool Advanced PDF Password Recovery :

1. Setelah anda jalankan tool yang dimaksud, pada tab Range beri tanda checklist pada opsi All Printable.

2. Kemudian pada tab Length, Minimal password length : 1 character (s) dan Maximal password length : 4 character (s).

3. Type of attact : Brute-force atau mencoba segala kemungkinan.

4. Setelah itu pilih menu File > Open File atau dengan mengklik icon Load PDF – file into the project.

5. Pilih file PDF yang tadi sudah diberi password, klik tombol Open.

6. Jika muncul kotak dialog APDFPR, klik opsi Start recovery.

7. Tunggu beberapa saat pada proses pencarian password berlangsung.

8. Jika setelah itu muncul kotak dialog Password successfully recovered ! Berarti passwordnya sudah ditemukan.

Silahkan salin passwordnya.

9. Setelah itu, coba buka file PDF yang sudah dipassword tadi kemudian isi password yang sudah ditemukan barusan.

Terbukti bukan?! :-)
